LEED Project Management

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, LEED, is a green building process that reviews the entire home and commercial building’s life cycle recognizing green building strategies supported by the U.S. Green Building Council, USGBC.   Green buildings reduce energy usage both in the construction and continued energy and water usage over the life of the building.

LEED is a program that provides third-party verification of green building principals. Building and retrofit projects satisfy prerequisites and earn points to achieve different levels of certification.

LEED certified buildings will:

  • Lower operating costs and increase asset value
  • Conserve energy, water and other resources
  • Be healthier and safer for occupants
  • May qualify for money-saving incentives, like tax rebates and zoning allowances
  • Full rating list can be found at USGBC website.

LEED building certifications include:

  • Certified—45 points
  • Silver—60 points
  • Gold—75 points
  • Platinum—90 points
